Dermabrasion and microneedling are such rejuvenating procedures which the commonly used methods for are treating skin problems in the U.S.

Dermabrasion is a surgical skin resurfacing procedure performed by the dermatologist or a plastic surgeon. The procedure requires local anaesthetic and is performed in the hospitals or other medical centers. It is commonly used to treat deep acne scars, surgical scare, and sometimes used to remove the pre-cancerous growths known as keratosis. Microneedling is a relatively new cosmetic procedure which is used for skin regeneration and treatment of various skin conditions such as scarring, wrinkles, and stretch marks. This cosmetic procedure is considerably cheaper than other rejuvenating procedures such as resurfacing lasers and has been found to be reasonably effective at promoting collagen induction therapy. Microneedling is usually performed using a topical anaesthetic cream to ease discomfort and may take 10-20 minutes depending on the size of area to be treated.
