Fitness and Wellness Clubs, Home & Consumer, Hospitality & Residential, and Health, Corporate & Performance are the four operating segments of the company. Under the fitness and wellness clubs’ segment, the company enters into agreements with various club chains like Virgin Active, Leejam, and LifeTime for the distribution of its equipment and technology. The hospitality & residential segment reports the trade of its product for luxury hotels and companies including Marriot Group, Accor Group, Rosewood, Mandarin Oriental, etc. are some of the key clienteles of the company. The health, Corporate & performance segment is dedicated to the sales and marketing of fitness equipment for corporate wellness programs and is part of the corporate wellness programs of some key companies including Meta, Apple, and Google among various others. The retail sales of fitness & wellness equipment for residential use are reported under the Home & Consumer segment.
The company has been supplying products officially for the various editions of the Olympic Games from 2000 to 2020. The company has a wide clientele of approximately fifty million individuals across the globe. Technogym follows a multi-channel distribution strategy comprising field sales, inside sales (includes online sales and telemarketing), retail, and wholesale. Presently, the company sources its raw materials from approximately eight hundred suppliers across the world and is manufactured in around 70,000 square meters facility located in Cesena and Slovakia.
Strategy
Technogym focuses on constant product innovation and expansion strategy that helps in strengthening the company’s presence across the global markets. For instance, the launch of an energy-efficient and silent treadmill by the company in April 2023 named Technogym Run that is designed in such a way it meets weight-loss and fitness goals through full-body workouts. The launch will help in capitalizing on the trend of preference for sustainable products by consumers who are also fitness oriented. The company’s strong expertise gained over the years in the government and corporate wellness program has helped in achieving cost reduction related to the installation and service of the gym. Increasing initiatives by various corporates in promoting a healthier lifestyle and employee wellness are supporting the Health, Corporate & performance segment growth of the segment. The company’s latest project “Technogym Corporate Club” is in line with the trend.
In addition, the company's continuous participation in the Olympics from 2000 to 2020 and upcoming participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics by supplying around 1,200 pieces of equipment for the athletes training in the twenty-nine training centers. As a result of the participation, around 14,900 athletes will be getting trained through the Technogym offerings which are expected to bring better visibility and branding of the equipment and company across the globe for elite sports training. Through the Technogym University and the Wellness Institute seminars, conferences, and workshops, the company connects with a wide range of stakeholders in fitness equipment sales including medical practitioners, fitness operators, and scientific researchers and their ideas and inputs help them in innovating better.
