Company Working: Yara is the world’s leading fertilizer company and the second-largest producer of ammonia in the world. As a part of its crop nutrition-focused strategy, Yara has simplified its operating model and changed its operating business segments effective from 1 January 2019. The new segment structure is comprised of three segments, namely sales & marketing, new business, and production. The sales & marketing segment includes the crop nutrition, base chemicals, industry reagents, and animal nutrition (excluding South Africa) business units. The “new business” segment includes the environmental solutions, mining applications, animal nutrition - South Africa, and industrial nitrates business units.
Under the sales & marketing and the new business segments, the company offers feed acidifiers through the animal nutrition sub-division.
Yara has 28 production plants, 200 infrastructure points, and 10,800 Yara-branded retail outlets worldwide. It has production sites in six continents, market operations in more than 60 countries, and sales operations in about 160 countries globally.
