Company recently begin construction on world’s largest 13.7 MW floating solar power plant on the Yamakura Dam reservoir, Japan. Which is scheduled to commission in 2018. The plant will comprise about 51,000 solar modules over the fresh water surface area of 180,000 m2. This project will be designed and constructed by KYOCERA Communication Systems Co., Ltd. Whereas, maintained by KYOCERA Solar Corporation.

The company operates in two broad business segments, namely consumer and business to business. The consumer segment offers operations such as mobile phones, kitchen utensils, solar power generating systems for residential use and stationery.company has subsidiaries such as, KYOCERA Chemical Corporation, Kyocera Solar, Inc, KYOCERA Solar Corporation, KYOCERA Solar Corporation and Kyocera (Tianjin) Solar Energy Co., Ltd. among others

March 2018ExpansionKyocera announced the construction of a new manufacturing plant at its Kagoshima Sendai plant in Japan to increase the production of ceramic microelectronic packages. The new facility will produce ceramic packages for electronic and semiconductor components, automobile components, as well as medical devices.
